The Beaver
Indians received their name because they were know as
the people who lived among the beavers.
The occupied land which extended from
Saskatchewan to the Rockies but only after they
were forced by the Cree, did they move west.
They were the last band on the prairies to sign
a treaty with the Canadian government in 1900.
They hunted and lived on moose and were
exceptional hunters. |
