The CFL or Canadian Football League is a sports tradition that extends back almost 100 years. Although the look and feel of the league has changed over the years, it still remains one of the oldest sports institutions in Canada's cultural and sporting makeup. The rules and look are very similar to American Football but it also has some important differences which keeps the game separate from any other league in the world.

The season is played between all of the league teams with playoffs in the Western conference and the Eastern conference. The winner of each of these conference contests plays for the Grey Cup which signifies the champion of the Canadian Football League for the year.
