Curling is a sport
that was invented and developed in Scotland but many
claim it was first played on the frozen waters of the St
Lawrence River. A cold windy prairie night or a soft
snowfall in North Ontario or a freezing storm off the
Atlantic in Nova Scotia; these are all the scenes of
Canadian curling and it's winter procession of games
across the country.
Although hockey is the
main sport in Canada, curling offers many familiar
sights and sounds which most Canadian's recognized and
sets them at ease. It is a winter ritual which brings
the community, of all ages together. |
