One of the keys to
understanding Canadian history and development is to
understand how the relationships between the Federal and
Provincial governments were established and have
evolved. Unlike Britain and many other parliament
systems throughout the world, the Canadian system is a
Federal system which divides power between the central
and regional governments. This has created tensions and
power struggles which have not usually brought the
nation together but have often time addressed regional
issues with different solutions. |
