Native issues have been front and centre in Canada's history and still are a somewhat unresolved topic today. Treaty settlement, past issues, maintenance of culture, special status and discrimination are just a few of the numerous issues which are still unresolved. What can be done to make Canada a hospitable country for all to live and grow in, and how to reconcile infinite versions of how things should work with the laws, system, administration and perceptions of how they do work.

The status of native people is hopeful and tragic, developing and decaying, stabilizing and increasingly chaotic.
